About Lice Happens
Lice Happens is your premier, professional, and private lice removal and treatment clinic. Our services are completely private and 100% confidential. We provide families living in Atlanta, Alpharetta, Roswell, and the surrounding areas of Georgia find relief and empowerment through our comprehensive and educational lice treatment services.
Lice Happens Atlanta is locally owned and operated by Tracey Fudge. She says, “Parents continue to struggle with the frustration, confusion, shame, and fear due to all the misinformation on the internet, the scary pesticidal products, and silly gadgets and home remedies to choose from. That’s not to mention the ‘ick’ factor that the topic holds.” Her passion comes from helping families like yours find relief and dispelling myths associated with head lice.
Having a lice infestation affect your family can be stressful and frustrating. Over-the-counter therapies are becoming less effective as super lice adapt the chemicals and toxins that are found in them. These ‘active ingredients’ are no longer working at eradicating head lice. Combine the ineffectiveness of these treatments with the toxicity that you probably don’t want to use on your children and you’ve got yourself a recipe for frustration. We get it.
Our lice removal experts are highly trained at treating and eradicating head lice for people of all ages. For young kids we employ soothing methods to calm them during the treatment process. We make treatments comfortable for everyone. They are also subject matter experts when it comes to lice and will pass on their knowledge to you so that you feel empowered to handle a lice outbreak with the right tools and education in the future.
When we arrive at your home, we’ll show up with everything we need in a logo-free vehicle. We’ll start by screening each member of your family for head lice and we’ll teach you how to properly screen for head lice as well. Not everyone displays the common symptoms associated with an outbreak and we recommend regularly screening school aged children for head lice. Once each member of the family experiencing an outbreak is identified, we’ll begin treatment.
Our treatments are non-toxic, safe, and effective. They are made from natural, pesticide free, and environmentally friendly ingredients that do not harm the skin or have any side effects. Once treatments are applied, we’ll use fine toothed metal lice combs to remove lice eggs (nits), young lice (nymphs), and adult lice from the hair. When we’re finished with our salon quality services, hair will be left looking and feeling soft, shiny, and smooth. You’ll also be taught how to use a lice comb for effective follow up care in the days after treatment and for future use should the need ever arise again.
In addition to teaching the practical skills of screening and combing, we also educate families on myths vs. facts about head lice. We cover topics such as who gets head lice, how lice spread, what is and isn’t necessary for home care after an infestation, how hygiene does or doesn’t play a role in a lice outbreak, what lice are, and many others. We will also give you and your family tips on preventing a lice outbreak from occurring again in the future. By the time we leave you’ll be lice free and hopefully have found the peace of mind you deserve by knowing you can handle a lice outbreak in the future.
